Outpatient Services/ School Based Outpatient

Salisbury Behavioral Health brings outpatient services to elementary, middle and high school students at schools in the Catasauqua School District. We help students with emotional and/or behavioral issues by bringing a therapist to them. This approach improves access and removes barriers to treat children, youth and young adults.

Services include:

  • Improving classroom behaviors
  • Fostering peer and family interactions
  • Providing psychiatric that focus on social and coping skills and goal setting
  • Assisting with medication management and education
  • Offering individual, family and group therapy

Therapy can help to address:

  • Anger management
  • Conflict resolution/problem solving
  • Coping skills
  • Self-esteem
  • Internet safety
  • Trauma
  • Grief/loss
  • LGBTQ related issues
  • And other issues

Students can be referred for services by school personnel, parents or individually.

Funding for this program is insurance-based. Medical assistance is accepted at every location, with some schools also accepting commercial insurance. Students who receive services within our program become clients of Salisbury Behavioral Health and have their confidentiality protected under Health Insurance Portability Accountability Act (HIPAA).
