This person-centered recovery program focuses on advocacy, education, linking, building relationships and creating a natural support system. It is provided to those who use or have used behavioral health system services.
Certified peer specialists model coping skills, foster resilience and assist in identifying strengths and areas in need of improvement. Goals are identified and a supportive plan is developed. Goals are identified by the individual receiving services and a plan is developed in partnership with certified peer specialist.
Certified Peer Support services are based in the community and utilize available community resources. All individuals, regardless of disability, deserve the right to proper support so they can grow. Individuals seeking services are actively involved in all areas of their recovery.
